
We are pleased to announce that Zane Dangor has joined the BGD Advisory Council!
Zane Dangor comes from South Africa and currently serves as the Director-General (DG) of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), as well as G20 South Africa Sherpa.
Prior to that, he worked as Special Adviser to Ministers of International Relations and Cooperation and held leadership positions at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Department of Social Development, and Soul City. Dangor´s career also spans civil society, consultancy, and human rights and development work in South Africa and internationally.
He holds a Master’s in Law in International Law and a Master’s in Public and Development Management, both from the University of the Witwatersrand.

I am honored to join the BGD Advisory Council and to help ensure that the perspectives of the African continent and the Global South are well represented in the Dialogue’s deliberations,” says Dangor.
