Zane Dangor Joins BGD Advisory Council

Zane Dangor currently serves as the Director-General (DG) of the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), as well as G20 Sherpa for South Africa.

He previously served as Special Adviser to Ministers of International Relations and Cooperation and has held senior leadership positions at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), South Africa's Department of Social Development, and Soul City. His professional experience also spans civil society, consultancy, and human rights and development work in South Africa and internationally.

I am honored to join the BGD Advisory Council and to help ensure that the perspectives of the African continent and the Global South are well represented in the Dialogue’s deliberations,” says Dangor.
